Neil Crone
Neil is an actor and writer who lives in a town so small everybody knows where everyone else’s birthmarks are. He has performed in dozens of television and radio commercials, TV shows and is the voice of numerous cartoon characters every Saturday morning, including ‘Erky- Perky’, ‘Pearlie’, ‘Miss BG’, ‘Timothy Goes to School’ and the upcoming ‘Ella’.
His most recent television and feature film roles include a recurring appearance in “King”, NBC’s ‘Warehouse 13’, ‘Connor Undercover’, and the recently released feature comedy ‘Eating Buccaneers’.
He has just finished filming his sixth season playing the role of Radio Redneck Fred Tupper in CBC’s hilarious hit sitcom ‘Little Mosque on the Prairie’ and his second season of Family Channel’s delightful ‘Really Me’.
In 2009 Neil Crone was awarded a Canadian Comedy Award for his work as Bad Santa on Q107 Radio.
When not on the stage, in front of a camera or behind a microphone, Neil is busy writing; the author of the children's books I Am Dead at Recess, Coby Builds a House, The Melderson's Dog is Sitting on Me and Who Farted? and writes an award-winning humour column for Metroland Newspapers. Neil is a cancer survivor and is the National Spokesperson for both the Colo-rectal Cancer Association of Canada and Colon Cancer Canada.
Besides promoting literacy in schools, Neil is available as a motivational speaker, focusing on the power of laughter in healing. When Neil grows up he wants to be an Astronaut.
